Company profile: Renia GmbH. The Renia GmbH was founded in the year 1930 and has existed since then as an independent family company now led by the third generation outside of any affiliated group. The Renia started with leather cement, finishing wax, shoecare products and floor wax. But it soon became obvious that the future demanded other products: modern, up to date adhesives and their "little helpers" for shoes as well as high tech adhesives for industrial use. The first adhesives were created to bond only leather and are still produced: Driving belt- and leather cement. At the beginning of 1952, the time of polychloroprene- or fast drying cements dawned, which are still being used in modified form. Starting 1960, the production and development was divided into industrial products and adhesives for craftspeople: A Shoemaker needs special broadband-adhesives, which are safe and simple to use: adhesives and "little helpers" for craftspeople. With this decision the Renia set a benchmark for the shoemaker trade not only in europe. Renia developed the first single-component PVC - adhesive for the trade. At the end of the 1960ies, adhesives based on CR and PUR were created to bond PUR and TR-materials. In 1985, Renia presented the first and till this day single All purpose fast drying cement which can also bond on PVC, so called grafted polymeres. The products Renia - Colle de Cologne and Renia - MULTI-Colle All purpose fast drying cement are actually the right adhesives to bond not only leather, rubber and Poro, but also difficult materials like PUR, TR and PVC without any complaints. Note that these are no PUR-adhesives, but fast drying cements with extended properties. To complement these products, primers for special applications are offered. Today, special representatives who work like branch offices distribute our products in more than 30 countries of the world. Tel: 0048-61-8510130 Fax: 0048-61-8515842 Beside the products for shoe repair, shoe orthopedics and orthopedic technology, products for the shoe industry like PUR and CR-adhesives are also being offered: Fast drying cements based on polychloroprene and polyurethane, primers for PUR and TR as well as cross linker based on isocyanate. Additional special products are PUR - dispersions and antistatic adhesives. Supplemental products are color wax, leather dye, solvents and thinner. Along with that product line, adhesives for bonding rubber with metal, leather bonding, driving belt and wearout protection are offered. But the greatest strength of the company is flexibility and a developement laboratory of our own, along with the possibility to produce smaller quantities (> 300 kg) as a special production for customers within the shortest period of time. An independent, company-specific TQM-system was developed even before TQM-systems based on ISO 9000 ff were introduced, which provides us with the complete documentation necessary to control every production charge starting with the formula, the production process until the product is delivered to the customer. Flexibility, constant and high quality as well as being close to the customer are our strengths.
